Tuğba Dincbas

Dinçbaş graduated in 2003 from the Department of Environmental Engineering. She holds a master's degree in Management-Organisation and a PhD in Social Environmental Sciences. She joined the Directorate of Climate Change in Türkiye 2022 as Deputy Director, having previously worked as an expert and coordinator in the environmental sector in different public institutions.
As Deputy Director, Dincbas is in charge of coordinating the preparation, implementation and monitoring of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC), Long Term Climate Strategy and Action Plans. She is also involved in drafting the Turkish Climate Law and leading climate and emission modelling studies. She is the national focal point of Türkiye to the UNFCCC and lecturer in graduate courses on climate change. She has over 20 years of expertise in policy and strategy design, project development and management, training and consultancy in various environmental fields. Her core competencies include change management, strategic planning, international, national and local climate change policies, international environmental agreements and negotiations, and clean technology management.
