Britta Horstmann
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH Britta works for GIZ as an advisor to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, is a member of the EU negotiation team to the UNFCCC and Co-Chair of the Adaptation Committee. She has 25 years’ experience in the areas of climate change risks, sustainable development, and international cooperation specialising in international adaptation politics and finance. Britta was co-lead of the Global Commission on Adaptation’s Action Tracks and co-developer of The Global Climate Risk Index. She has worked as high-level policy adviser, researcher, and trainer, including as a reviewer for the IPCC and related academic journals.
