Ivan Oliveira
Ivan Oliveira is the Deputy Secretary for Sustainable Development Finance at Brazil’s Ministry of Finance, overseeing Brazil’s partnerships with global financial institutions like the World Bank, Green Climate Fund (GCF), and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to secure funding for sustainable development. Additionally, he leads Brazil’s agenda within the G20, actively contributing to the International Financial Architecture and Sustainable Finance Working Groups.
Ivan holds a Ph.D. in Management and a Master’s in Management from the Universidade Federal da Bahia, as well as a Master’s in Latin American Studies and Social Sciences from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His academic foundation, combined with a career across government, academia, and international organizations, has cultivated his expertise in sustainable finance, policy, and strategic project management.
