Dr Laetitia Zoungrana is a researcher specialising in bioenergy, with a PhD in Renewable Energy and Engineering Sciences and Technology from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium and the Institut 2iE in Burkina Faso. Her expertise lies in the energy recovery of biomass residues, in particular the use of agricultural by-products to produce heat and electricity, promoting access to energy for decentralised populations. She is also project manager of the COOPARE project in West Africa, working to promote renewable energies and energy self-sufficiency in Africa. She also represents ROACER, a West African civil society network for renewable energies, which brings together five countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and Senegal.
