Marcus Pratsch
Marcus Pratsch is working as Head of Sustainable Bonds and Finance at DZ BANK AG in Germany. Marcus is a member of the standing committee of the Green and Sustainable Finance Cluster Germany. From 2009 to the end of 2018 he was Head of Sustainable Investment Research at DZ BANK AG. He came onboard in 2009 to develop the bank’s sustainable investment research strategy launching it from naught to sixty. In 2011 he introduced the sustainability rating of DZ BANK Sustainable Investment Research – the bank’s own SRI rating methodology for listed equities. Furthermore he has successfully advanced the integration of sustainability criteria into the valuation process of various asset classes enabling the bank to extend its portfolio of sustainable products and services in Germany and abroad. Marcus is the author of numerous SRI sell-side research reports. He and his team at DZ BANK AG also supported the CDP by writing and producing the report for the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Marcus has been working in the Financial industry since 1996 and has more than 18 years of experience in Sustainable Finance. Since 2019 he is heading the Sustainable Bonds and Finance team of DZ BANK and is responsible for the sustainable capital market business of the bank. Prior to this, he served for more than 10 years as DZ BANK‘s Head of Sustainable Investment Research. Marcus is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Principles (ICMA), the Advisory Council of the OMFIF Sustainable Policy Institute (SPI) as well as Co-Chairman of the Sustainability Expert Group of the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany (BCCG).
