Mardi McBrien

Mardi McBrien is an award-winning sustainability and sustainable finance leader with over 20 years of experience driving impactful change. As Chief of Strategic Affairs and Capacity Building at the IFRS Foundation, she spearheads global initiatives in corporate reporting including leading capacity building efforts for the ISSB. Previously, Mardi led the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) for over a decade, developing the first global framework for investor-focused climate and sustainability reporting. Her work significantly influenced the TCFD, TNFD, and the establishment of the International Sustainability Standards Board. Mardi's career spans environmental campaigning, public policy, and multi-sector partnerships. She serves on the advisory boards of XBRL International, UK’s Transition Plan Taskforce, the UN’s NetZero Taskforce among other influential organizations.
