Andrea Hurtado Epstein

Andrea Hurtado Epstein is the Coordinator for Mexico’s NDC update at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.

Before starting this position with Mexico’s new administration, she was the Climate Program Manager for Latin America at Health Care Without Harm, an international organization working on healthcare sustainability worldwide. Before that, she served in various positions in Mexico’s federal government, including as technical advisor to the Office of the Presidency for the integrated implementation of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda, and as Deputy Director General for Sustainable Development at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she coordinated Mexico’s positions in various multilateral environmental agendas.

She has a degree in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and a master’s degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
