Sagar Aryal

Sagar Aryal is the Chief Technology Officer at Plant-for-the-Planet and Chair of the Technical Subcommittee at the GEF CSO Network. Growing up in Nepal, where the melting Himalayas underscored the realities of climate change, Sagar’s commitment to environmental and human rights advocacy began at the age of 10. With over 15 years as an activist and leader in sustainable technology, he focuses on next-gen solutions that drive ecosystem restoration and climate justice. Through the Trillion Tree Campaign, he champions community-led conservation, promoting a future where environmental and human rights are inseparable.
