The NCQG from a scientific perspective – tracking climate finance and advancing effective implementation
With the NCQG meant to be adopted this year at COP29 in Azerbaijan, greater funds for urgently needed climate action will be channelled to developing countries. While negotiations will need to advance fundamental questions, this side event discusses the scientific perspectives and evidence on tracking climate finance in the light of developing countries´ needs and priorities. Furthermore, the state of evidence on the effectiveness and impact of climate actions will be discussed.
